This website documents the restoration of Balnaferry House in Forres. Balnaferry House was purchased by the Cole family in 2017.
The house was in need of repairs to:
- Roof
- Windows
- Electrics
All the external work is complete (for the moment). The windows will be restored one at a time over a number of years – they will need to be stripped down and repaired.
The electrics are now much improved, but some parts of the house still need investigation.
Our plan (eventually) is to open the house as a Bed & Breakfast, but that is a fair way off as yet.
